TODAY IN CLASS
We worked through the mysteries of Chapter 7 today.  Neither class got to the absolute end, but we were very close.  Fourth period needs to pick up with the question of the "reality" Grendel intends to teach and work through to the end; in 6th we made it closer to the very end of the chapter.

TOMORROW
Both chapters 8 and 9 have been assigned during this week, and we will tackle them on Friday. You will have 25 minutes open book to answer some specific Chapter 8 questions, and you will have no chance to finish if you have not read it.  And I did promise that there would be no Ch. 9 quiz today, but I'm making no such promises about tomorrow.

Looking ahead--you need to have the book finished (chapters 10-12) for Monday.  These are not long, and they are mostly less complicated than all that has gone before.  But that's why I had you read Ch. 9 for today--now you are ready to get going on the final three chapters.
