TODAY IN CLASS
1) Shaping Sheets turned in today; First Drafts evaluated for format and stamped.
ANYONE ABSENT TODAY (Includes DECA people as well as other assorted reasons) should have your shaping sheet and first draft with you in class tomorrow. Be sure to check the links in Monday's post for any paperwork you did not receive if you've been out prior to today
Final drafts will be due Thursday--the same day as everyone else's.)
2) Discussion of opening passage of Chaucer's Prologue
FOR TOMORROW
Read the Prologue: long (pp. 95-114). Treat it like a novel for which a 20-page assignment would be very normal. "Read through" to get the scope of characters. We will focus on the first few in class tomorrow, and assign people other specific ones to be ""expert" on for Thursday.
Be sure to bring the gray literature book with you to class tomorrow!
FOR THURSDAY--continued work on the Prologue, but FINAL DRAFT of paper also due. The stamped first draft must be turned in also; otherwise you receive no points for it. (I stamped them today, but I did not record them.) I will open turnitin.com sometime on Wednesday.
