TODAY IN CLASS
I stamped (but did not record!) the question responses to yesterday's hand-out that we had started in class, but you were expected to finish at home. Do NOT lose these, or you will not get credit; they will be turned right before you take the quiz. Expecation for full credit: that you do a good job of finishing out / correcting / completing questions that were too thin (or even wrong) on your original homework.
SPECIFICALLY FOR TOMORROW--
It became apparent today that not everyone invested as much time/energy/thoroughness in your written question responses. In particular, the homework seemed weak with respect to giving Chanticleer's side of the debate in #6. Depending on your class section, you have two different assignments here:
4th period--look back at the first two anecdotes (stories) that Chanticleer provides as evidence that dreams DO count. Be able to explain the details of those two dreams. You will do more with this section during class.
6th period--we got further in class today. We already looked at the first two dreams in detail, and you should have already adjusted your homework on those two. But Chanticleer goes on: there are a total of 8 different references he makes to authorities that justify dreams. So finish listing these out. Bullet style is OK, and you don't need much detail. But list out his examples three through eight.
ADJUSTED PLAN
Yes, because of my Microsoft that will last throughout the full lunch plus period 4 time, another staff member will cover my 4th period on Thursday. Thus I would not be able to finish up the necessary discussion of the "Nun's Priest's Tale" in that section during the first part of the period and then have you take the quiz in the second part. And we didn't really get as far as I'd hoped in 6th, so we actually need tomorrow to finish up as well. I want to you do a good job on this quiz and writing task. So the quiz will be on Friday in both classes.

Dr. Boaz, when you say the questions will be collected before the quiz, does that mean they'll be collected on Friday since that's the quiz day?
