TODAY IN CLASS
Continued work on the papers. I credited points for the character/thesis starter sheet. Most of the class time should have been spent on the next step--the shaping sheet. Be sure that when you start in again tomorrow that you FOLLOW THE MODEL CLOSELY. And be sure to include the page numbers for all quotations.
For now, write down full quotations--whatever you think you need. When you write your first draft, many quotations can probably be shortened as you write lead-ins and integrate them into your own text. (Again, I realize you aren't doing this at home tonight. I'm just writing things down for you to know in case you don't "hear it" for whatever reason in class tomorrow!
I will check for completion of the shaping sheets by the end of class on Friday. Week-end homework will be to type up (for your own progress check-point) the three body paragraphs. Then you will know what you still need, if anything. You can get that in class on Monday, make changes/additions to the body paragraphs, and add an intro and conclusion. Then you will have a draft to have with you in class on Tuesday.
Medieval Material/Chaucer
Nothing new tonight; be sure you have accomplished everything summarized in yesterday's post.
