TODAY IN CLASS
Discussion of "A Devoted Son." I collected the homework, and we looked at several charts as a springboard for discussing the dynamic/static nature of Rakesh's and Varma's character.
HOMEWORK
No new work. However, you should start reviewing as needed for the test on Tuesday. Look at the hand-out given out earlier in the week:

Know the literary terms (mostly review from your younger years). Expect some fairly detailed short-answer questions, some on fairly minor points; expect the longer written questions to address major/significant aspects of the story, but you will need to supply details from your knowledge of the story. Know authors.
ON MONDAY
A counselor will be in class for all or most of the period, so YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING YOUR BOOK. :)
