Read pages 36-37 in your book about the background of Beowulf.  The hand-out from yesterday tells you all you need to do to prepare for the quiz on Friday, so make sure that you have studied other pages referenced there and have looked at the terms at the bottom of the page (more on them in class on Thursday).

Quiz over the three lyric/elegiac poems plus all the Anglo-Saxon historical, literary, and Beowulf-related background.
