TODAY IN CLASS
There will be a quiz on Friday covering all of the Anglo-Saxon background material (historical and literary), including the background info on the poem Beowulf, and also the three lyric poems we have studied in class.

On it, there is a brief definition of the Old English term wyrd, which we discussed briefly in class.

Wish I could edit one thing about it, though: the article spells Macbeth incorrectly by using a capital B.  Don't.

No specific homework for Wednesday, but be mindful of the pages/sections/terms to be covered on the quiz.  The expectation is that by working hard and being attentive in class, you will not have a major homework/quiz preparation load this week.
