Friday Blog on Sunday

Friday was the last full work period; on Monday there will be only 10-15 minutes of collaboration time.

But you know the drill--you were told verbally, and it was on the hand-out for your "modern satire" assignment.  You need to have a draft with you in class tomorrow to double-check for formatting, content (the required elements), and quality of the writing.  See the assignment hand-out (scroll back if you lost yours), and remember that I clarified a couple of things in class:

1) You DO need to include some other remedies ("expedients," to use JS's word) that might apply to your situation.  However, in your essay, you can pass them off as useless, foolish, beside the point, or whatever suits the overall tone of the essay you are writing.  Like Swift, you need to include an actual suggestion that you seriously believe might work (or at least should be tried) in your group of ideas, though you won't identify it as such, of course. How many total ?  At least 3--more if you wish.

2) And don't forget that on Tuesday there needs to be TWO copies of the paper in class (regardless of whether you were working on your own or with a partner).

So be prepared with your draft to check over--there will NOT be enough time for actual writing in class.
