For those who might have been absent on Monday, you need to know that the first 15 or so questions were for discussion only. You don't need to do them for a grade; on the other hand, you need to have read "A Modest Proposal" carefully enough that you could indeed answer these.
We will talk about a few more of them together on Wednesday.
The homework due tomorrow is a little different for each group: 6th period needs to do exactly what it says under the Written Homework for Wednesday section. 4th, I don't think I mentioned Question 1 in class. I will give you no more than five minutes at the start of class to do it if you did not read the blog. If you DO see this, you can do it as part of the homework and then coast for that five class minutes.

You will receive further instructions on Wednesday concerning the "satire" paired assignment. In responding to Item 3 on for tomorrow, you simply need to come up with individual ideas for a subject--two different possibilities--and some creative thinking about how to go about it.
Remember, your satire will need to address an actual, signficant real-world problem. There are plenty to choose from in America of 2010!
