Working on the Satire Project

TODAY IN CLASS
People got a good start on their work today after we spent a few minutes going over the complete hand-out.  There will be the full period tomorrow as well.  If you need more time to complete a draft, you'll need to get with your partner (electronically or otherwise) over the week-end.  On Monday, you will have a few minutes (10-absolute max of 15) to proofread so that both parties are responsible for the final draft due on Tuesday.  And remember, TWO hard copies are required in class on Tuesday, regardless of whether you were working on your own or with a partner.

Here is the link to the hand-out:

PLUS ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING--somewhere in your essay (does not have to be at the end as Swift does it), you need to show that you have thought of other possible solutions but have suggested them.  I think that many of you are thinking along these lines already.  If you were not, it does not need to alter your basic plan--simply include a few possible (but rejected) alternatives.  How many?  three will do--you don't need the  9 or 10 that Swift includes.

FOR TOMORROW
Either work on continuing to draft/create ideas, or use the time to do the necessary research to shore up either the "proposal" or some alternative expedients.
