1. Pick up a "Letters" hand-out (the Boaz Better-than-Sparks Notes guide) if you were absent today. Keep it handy for review throughout the book and when the "frame story" finishes up at the end. (You probably don't want to re-read these letters.)
2. The key idea to note is that we are NOT looking at Robert Walton in a vaccuum, but as an individual whom we will assess for his interaction with Frankenstein and the story Frankenstein tells.
3. FOR TOMORROW, read Chapters 1-3 in the text. In your edition, this amounts to seventeen pages (17-34). You should be able to read it with care and still have time to go back to review key details.
