For Tomorrow's Test

1.  For sure know the terms that have been on the board and on yesterday's blog for you to review.  Know appropriate evidence from the text.

2.  Take to heart the examples of quotations, things, and places we went over today.  Do not just "identify"--explain how/why the item is significant.  Give details.  Show how much you know (but note the time limitations in the next item).

3. Expect to spend the short half of the period (20 min; 25 min. max) on the ID's. Spend about 15-18 min. each (30-35 min.) on the two longer responses (2-3 paragraphs each).

4.  For the longer questions, think in terms of characterization; themes; major slogans/philosophies of the parties; recurring elements such as songs, dreams, ideas Winston has; symbols.  There will be some choice, but all questions will require a solid knowledge of the text.

And have paper and pens with you (blue or black ink)!
